I feckin KNEW this would happen, I only said to my friend this morning that my head is far too up my own a*se atm and I was going to slip up if I wasn't really careful...well guess what, I just frigging did :(
Milo just tied with Ellie at bloomin lightening speed, I turned away for literally 10 seconds before I realised what I had done turned back, grabbed his collar and he was already tied :mad;  :( :(
I'm so cross with myself, I have NEVER had an unwanted mating before.
You can shout at me, but only a bit please because I KNOW :(

I'm not really surprised you're distracted at the moment. Don't beat yourself up TOO much :p, and just get the jab. Mind you that picture of Milo with the GSD pup showed you do have a secret desire for a designer breed.;)

Haha they are both Parson's at least! No designer cross breeds! Flora isn't in thank god, just Tilly and Ellie (he cannot physically do a thing to Tilly for all his trying so letting them together doesn't matter, infact when all 3 girls are in season I pair them that way when I go out because I know he can't do it!).
If things that are going on weren't going on A- it wouldn't have happened and B- I may have considered having a litter if it did, I have a wait list for 2011 pups I could have rung up to see if they wanted one this year instead! Plus a few details I'm holding of people that have rung recently enquiring, that I have kept to pass to anyone he studed for in the next month. She has already had a 15 month break, so I wouldn't have felt guilty either.
That said I am in my current situation so it's not happening! :p
And I am still very very cross with myself!

Just a word of warning re Milo and Tilly. I have posted before about how determined some dogs are, we actually caught one of our shepherd bitches lying down for our l'c chihuahua when she was at the height of season, he had damn nearly managed to mate her. Hate to think what would have happened if they had tied and she had stood up.

LOL I know, I was very careful with them for a long time but have kept them together for years now, Milo isn't the brigthest! She lies down for him...and he tries...but he can't figure the why or where on something her size, not at all! Despite him being very very good at getting something his own size done in a few seconds
I wouldn't trust him with Flora though, I think he could just about manage that if he really really tried! But she is half the size of Tills. Tilly and Milo are asleep together now, after years of trying and failing he is not nearly so persistent any more, but still follows her round like a lost puppy just because! :p

They certainly can! *cough* Ellie *cough* She's gonna be mad, she hates the vets! Serves her right for being a tart! And making me freeze at 12.30 stood on the doorstep in my pjs waiting for them to untie! Good job I keep terriers and not something larger that requires 2 people or arms like mr tickle to mind them while they are tied! :p

:p just had an arguement with the vets, they don't use the one that has to be given within 3 days of mating anymore. Have to go in on wednesday with her and then again on thursday apparently. How odd, oh well, I did get the receptionist to double check with 2 vets after the nurse said it, so it must be right! Humph, looks like I will be cross with myself and worried for a few more days yet!

Yep im sure we give the injection in that time period too.
How old is the bitch? did u say theu where both parsons?

Shes 4, yes they are both parsons. So weds and thurs for the injections is right then yea? I'm sure I took a friends mongrel bitch in once, years ago and it had to be done within 3 days, the sooner the better. The receptionist thought the same but obviously things have changed?!

I even considered taking her for a spay last night...I mean I considered it last night, to take her today.
I definately would regret that though, I want one more litter out of her with view to keeping one, as I have both parents, to continue the line. That was an over reaction on my part at ridiculous O'clock in the morning! :o
