A local farmer shot two burglars in his isolated farm the other night, second time in a row they were there. I am hoping against hope that he isn't prosecuted, but he has been arrested for murder and attempted murder. Two teenage scroats from a local village.

What a shock for you , but what a brave little dog, hope you all can recover quickly, I can’t imagine how it must feel knowing someone has been in and taken one of your dogs , glad you got your puppy back quickly …

All ok, just truding through the insurance joys, trying to work out exactly what is missing (it's amazing how you don't notice something small until you look for it)

Lucy is doing well, yesterday was the first day she was sort of back to herself and not down/sorry for herself. I fear that any trust in strangers approaching the house is broken and we will have to be very careful with her management in future. Sassy is a nervous wreck, full body trembling and screaming when a stranger made eye contact with her (I brought her along to a small gundog training day with friends to start to try expose her to new people again asap in a quiet venue). We were able to work up to her being comfortable taking treats from me and going for a little swim in the pond with people at a distance. Long road, but hopefully she will be ok.

Poor dogs, and poor you @druid. I hope that you manage to get the insurance claim sorted painlessly, and that your dogs continue to improve and get their confidence back.
