New dog day!

Hi everyone, really gutted to write this but unfortunately we decided to send Bella back today. She was on a trial weekend and a few issues had cropped up yesterday that we hadn’t been aware of, which wasn’t too bad, but then this morning it became quite obvious that my middle dog was becoming very unhappy, after intially seeming ok. When she became unhappy, the other 2 joined in. Sat down and had a big think and a chat and then had a chat with her owner, who was lovely and said that they’d had this issue with another person who wanted to rehome her and had a couple of dogs and perhaps she would be better suited at this moment in time to being an only-dog or in a 1 dog family. So, as devastating as it was, she went back home. Apparently there is someone else interested in her so fingers crossed she gets a good home soon.
Really upset, but ultimately I had to put my girls first :-(
 
I'm not blaming you at all, of course your first dogs have priority. TBH this is a case that a rescue org would be better able to deal with, IMO, at least she would be settled in a foster home while they found out about her rather than her being pushed from pillar to post, getting more anxious every time.
I'd suggest they contact Spaniel Aid, I used them recently and they were great. Thistle on here helps them out if you had any questions.

Totally agree with you.
A friend mentioned Spaniel Aid today, I will pass this info on to the owner. Honestly I feel like the worst person in the world, my heart is actually breaking.
