hi all hope everyone is having a slightly driyer morning! god that weather was awful yesterday and last night!
i am totally new on here have always been a reader but never posted anything so be gentel lol!
bascily i have had my boy up for share now a while and have a few people come and meet him, ride, had a chat but i just havnt felt a good connection with anyone unitl now......
a really lovly girl came the other day, she was so sweet and eager and my boy seemed to really like her. she is the perfect candidate she lives close, drives, seems to understand the whole process of a share and is nice ad confident with him on the ground.
the only probleme is im not sure she has the right level of abilty for him.
when she rode she was a little nervous, this i dont blame her for as i am also a cautios rider and get a little nervous riding a new horse, she did find it quite hard to get him going, he can be lazy but this is more to do with the rider than him.
she has been having weekly riding lessons at a local school and i sopose to follow on from the rs thread earlier she just doesnt seem to be where she should be concidering the time and money she is spending....
now i have two options but im not sure which one ....
option 1. to say i am very sorry but i dont think it will work out for x reasons and hope she doesnt get to upset.
option 2. i am moving to a new yard at the end of sept with amasing facillities as right now i just have fields so no where to really ride especially if the weather keeps this up!
so i was thinking to tell her to continuue having lessons and explain to her yard what she wants to do and hope they step her teaching up a notch!
and let her come up all the time with me and get used to him and help me out then when we move she can be invloved in the move and then start the share with me under supervision! having lessons on him and learing his routine!
i would love to do this option as i remember what is was like at the rs's i seemed to learn nothing not until i shared and thats when i really learnt the up and down of having a horse
so what does everyone think? dont hold back any advice/constrctive critisism welsome.
sorry for this being so long and well done if you have got throught it i rally apprecite it!
