So new puppy came hom yesterday. He is adorable and my current dog seems made up with him.
So yesterday he was great had him in garden and praised each time he piddled outside and even got him to poo outside too.
I have a large cage and put him that overnight and he howled the house down. I decided to take the approach of ignoring him but after and hour I got worried so I put my dog in with him. My dog growled and barked at him and they both settled to sleep
My dog then wakes at 0230 wondering why he is in the cage so I let him out, cue puppy howling again. I went off to bed and within half an hour it stopped and he slept through till 0530
So this morning he goes out and has a piddle comes in and has his breakfast out for a piddle and poo again then a few games and some sleep.
Since then he has piddled 5 times and poo'd once in the house but I am struggling to catch him in action in order to be able to put him outside, I know its early days but am I going to end up struggling to house train him if I can't catch him in action?
