Well me & Major went off to the NCH meet today, it was a 5 mile hack there and when we left the weather wasn't too bad. But by the time we were half way there, oh my!
It was absolutely hooning it down and blowing a gale, I have never been so wet on a horse EVER.
Anyway. a couple of mulled wines at the meet and once we got going I was okay. But did keep my tweed coat on over the top of my jacket.
Wasn't that exciting a day, had some good canters but no jumping (not that I would have jumped out of this ground!) but Major was awesome as always. We had a really nice time only stayed out for an hour and a half then made our way back, where the quantity of rain became obvious as everywhere had flooded.
Some photos -
Bit damp!
Out on to the high street
Hacking back, just to prove how wet it was!
Back home cosy in his stable.
Then later on we celebrated Nimby's (my first pony, now retired) 30th birthday!
Just about drying out now, boots, hat and saddle are drying by the fire and various clothing is scattered on radiators.
