It all depends on who takes the call in your local office..
There is one person in mine that says " No worries, just send me back the claim form and I'll sort it ( cheque received no questions asked )
And the s**t who questions everything.
Guess who we ask for !
Iv never had a problem with them, i have had 3 horses insured for years and luckily not had any claims until this last year, iv had 3 claims two for around 500 and the last one 1000 ( all for same horse ) and they have paid out and been very helpful etc, my premiums have not gone up but im due a renewal in may so it will be interesting to see if and by how much it goes up since making these claims !
This type of issue has been a problem reported quite widely in the media in relation to house insurance policies too, there were several cases where the burglary or flood damage claims were refused because of motoring convictions not spent or declared. And in the strictest sense of the law it is correct, and they are within their rights under the 1906 law that form the basis of most insurance. But there was a Bill put before Parliament last year to stop Insurers wriggling out of claims by such tenuous 'material non-disclosures'. Think it says that if the fact that was not disclosed would not have materially affected the terms of the policy contract then they cannot use it as grounds for refusing the claim.
