This weekend, I got the following comment on a dressage score sheet: 'What a super horse! He went with a smile on his face all the way'
It just summed up my lad's approach to work and what a lovely, positive boy he is. I had quite a lump in my throat after...

One Judges said it was the nicest partnership they had seen all day, we actually came third - our best result ever. When I was showing one day, the judge said they wished they could give me a prize for the best boots - I do like to polish them...

Well done - you've got the award for "Best Junior". I was 42 at the time (and I look it!)??? Oh, and I had been last in the test:o

My first dressage test on my old horse was a little disasterous :o he went lovely warming up but was a pain in the actual test, ended up spooking in one corner and doing a 180 degree spin and I nearly fell off! I still managed to get 60% and 5th place though which was good!

Comment at the bottom of my test sheet "naughty pony full of beans today, very well ridden!"

"Brilliant partnership, very quietly ridden, a delightful pony with an obvious sense of humor!"

My comments from a judge on my first Novice dressage test with my old pony after he took great pleasure spooking at the flower pots with the letters on! We managed to get 65% and come 3rd, beating about 20 people. How I miss him. :)

I got just over 72% for my first ever elem test and the judge started clapping at the end! I was so happy - 2nd place got about 63% so i think we were having a good day - ive never got over 70 again yet!

'Beautiful trot, just get that canter sorted and you'll be away. He's the most honest pony in the class'

Yesterday, in my four year old's second ever ridden class. I was over the moon, and still am :)

Oh the shame (for me!).

But a trainer once said to me "please can you go out - I can't help you. I want to concentrate on your daughter's riding. She is very very good". I left the arena (a tad depressed but well, tbh, i am a realist).

On the good side, though, I was very proud of my daughter! That was the nicest thing a trainer has said to me about her.

A sort of indirect nice thing!

Only done in hand with my boy but at our last show, the judge absolutely loved him, and said he had a lovely bottom, just how a traditional should be :) Means my feeding and slow bringing on is working
