No one else wants to leap in? Weekend plans!

Is that the grey wolfhound-y one (I’m not very good at dog breeds beyond the obvious!)? If so he looked gorgeous, she was waking him just before my session and I wanted to hop off and give him a cuddle!

And apologies, I missed your update. Well done on a successful weekend! Can’t wait to see how much you guys achieve this season :D

That’s him - isn’t he so cute :) he is a deerhound x greyhound apparently, he will be the size of a Shetland when he finishes growing I think :D

Thank you very much - it’s quite scary it’s so exciting :D

RO that's awful - so so sorry to hear that! You know I love Chilli too, must be something about the greys. You're welcome to come and have a ride on Indio, he's likely to demand cuddles and lick you all over too...he's a bit special like that.

I hope Chilli's wound heals quickly xx

I cantered my little cob for the first time in several months (arthritis, steroids then an awful abscess). Big cob and I were going to do prep for regionals, but alas he has pulled a muscle in his bum and is feeling a bit sore. Regionals are off the table for us I think (we are due to compete on Sunday and he's not right yet). He's a bit of a doofus!

Oh no! What a disappointment. Will keep everything crossed for a miraculous recovery.

We slid into the tail end of the WP thread with a trip out for a lesson. Nice to have a friend along to video it for me, though it was mainly working on way of going and asking Kira to accept me asking for more engagement without getting tight in the neck and back. So not much in the way of exciting footage to share :D but we did finish with a nice little bit of piri canter and some changes :) Plenty of homework to do, as always... ;)

DressageCob - that's such a shame :( :( I hope he makes a quick recovery so you can at least get to Regionals and get a plaque!

MP - those changes look great! And the collected canter. Looks like she's made some progress since I saw you there last month?

Yeah I think working with more focus on the piris has helped her, in a roundabout way, with the little canter. One of those chicken & egg things - she had to see the point of it to bother, and she has to bother to be able to deliver :p Plus now she can do 2s, the 3s have got better I think, more reliably correct, and not galloping off with me :D
