My yearling thinks fences are there for his own personal fun. Over, under or through. He's not fussed.
At the moment he goes through the electric fencing on a daily basis, and of course, once its down, all the other go thru too.
Next week I'm getting wood, to make 2 rails in the hope this will discourage him. Any other suggestions?
I'm wary to put any kind of wire fencing as I'm sure he'll do himself no end of damage on it. The perimeter fences are wire, but they have big hedges on the other side, so he doesn't bother with it.
The fences he goes thru are the ones splitting the field up, in an effort to save the grass and let it grow. Before him, we had a nice little rotational system so they had freash grass every few weeks.
