What would be the going rate for DIY livery on a basic slightly not great yard. Stable and small paddock with v little grass (although that suits my horse right now)
Tack room and lean to type storage for hay/bedding which i buy in myself although Straw is included. Small space in a feed shed.
Turn out can be very limited when wet to the point of them being stabled for a week or more in bad weather.
No school but a schooling paddock to be used weather permitting.

I am really beginning to struggle financially and suspect I am paying way over the odds but am not sure where there are other yards locally to me
 
I pay £25 per week on a small livery yard cum farm. Cost does not include any straw, but the facilities sound a little like yours otherwise. Location near Gloucester.
 
No more than £25 a week for what you're describing, and quite possibly less.

When I used to be on livery [talking 5 years ago now though] in the same area, it was usually between £25 - £35 p/w for stable, field, straw bedding and use of all facilities - school, jumps, good hacking etc.
 
When I was in Glos last year I was paying £25 a week for a stable and as much turnout as I wanted. No hay/straw included, no arena, but good hacking. Very basic but not great yard (old run down farm). I can get the same in Somerset for £15 a week, but obviously it's a bit more expensive up in Glos
 
mmm, I am paying £150 pcm. But i have nothing very local to compare to! My old yard with the same facilities i paid £75 pcm but that was 2 years ago now i think they have increased slightly.
I have seen grass livery for £15 with zero facilities- I mean i nearly hit a horse the other day as a adult and child were tacking up on the side of the road out of the boot of a car and a horse got loose and charged across in front of me! - i cant handle that!

I dont even know where yards are in my area, they certainly are not obvious! i think its more a case of luck finding a farmer who has let out some stables and grazing sort of thing.

My y/o was fab in that i payed for one horse and got the other free (so working out at £75 which is great) but now i only have one horse and really am trying to save some money up its not so great!
 
I'm in Glos & basic DIY with a field & stable but no school is £20 a week or so. Factor in £7.50 for 3 bales of straw & sounds like what you have is expensive, especially if there isn't always turnout.
 
I pay £17.50 per week for a lovely stable, good turnout, excellent hacking and a large school on a private, small yard (which is VERY reasonable!)
my old yard was £10 per week for stable and turnout, tack room and storage barn.
 
I'm near Glos and the top field is let out by the farmer for horses, with the option to use the barn should they so need. It's £130 per month for the field (approx 7-10 acres) and that includes hay/straw. I guess it would be classed as assisted DIY though as I'm the one that goes out am/midday/pm to feed & water.
 
I pay £30 a week for a stable, use of the school(no lights) and turnout. That's about 8 miles from Cheltenham into the Cotswolds, two different yards.
Yards closer to Cheltenham are cheaper but the hacking is pants, between £20-£25 and I didn't find one that I liked enough.

Where abouts are you all locally?
 
The yard down the road from us is £20 a week, get given 2 paddocks, if you trash them both, your problem, big floodlit school, hay and straw are extra but very cheap from farmer who owns it. Nice big stables, American barn style.

Where I work, we only do full or working livery. Full - stabled - £95 p/w in winter, £35 in summer (out 24/7 but stable is still kept free for your horse if needed)
full - grass (out 24/7, all year) is about £60 p/w
working - stabled in winter, £75 p/w summer £0!!!!
working - grass- £45 p/w in winter, summer £0!!!!

We are about 10 miles from Gloucester, nearer Stroud with an indoor school, amazing hacking and all year turnout.
 
Well we are on the glos / oxon border and charge £60 per week

However that includes ad lib hay and straw, stable, pen for foul weather, individual turnout, school with lights, lots of jumps and toys, cross country course, on farm riding, wash off room

If money is a problem - have you got time? Lots of people need assistance, for example I am making a decision on selling babies as I don't have a second pair of hands for starting them
