So, I was offered Viking the ex racer to ride while Ned is out of action.
I decided to go out for a little walk with my parents, to get used to him. I've ridden him plenty of times with a group, but never alone. He really isn't a typical ex racer :D

He was fab!! I'll let the pictures do the talking :)

Thanks :D he's a stunner! Hoping to get a lesson or two on him and see how we get on :D I need to pluck up courage to jump him...it looks a bit...interesting! People think because I jump Nutty Ned, that I will jump anything! Nope, I'm only brave on Ned :P
He travels, so I might take him to some ridden shows :D

Is anyone else just the tiniest bit disappointed that this thread wasnt about Nah and Ned dressed up as vikings?

It's great :) and although I've not "clicked" with Viking yet, oh my! He's SUCH and easy horse to do!! He stood like a statue while I faffed around him with fly spray and boots and stuff :P a very wonderful horse :) you can also watch him winning races on youtube if you type in "Viking Spirit Horse" :D

LOLOLOL!! That would have been awesome...added to my "to do when Ned is better" list :P

Hi 'nah' very sorry to commnt on ur post i did try to personal message u but silly pone woulnt let me, i was just wondering if ur horse has ever been called echo or on passport merlin and how long u have had him for, hes absoloutly stunning by the way xx

Hehe, that's ok :) And nope, he's always just been Viking Spirit :) He's been owned by a syndicate since he started racing, but is now owned by my yard, he's been there for about 3 years now, I think!
 
I ment the one u own darling 'ned'?? The one who is out of work and went missing (sorry stalked ur posts a bit a he looks a spitting image of my old horse) xx
 
Ah! Not as far as I know, I recently spoke to the lady who used to look after him and as far as I know, he's always been Ned :)
What area was yours in? x
 
I am in basildon essex but he went back to the lady i got him from then she found him a new home, ive been searching for him for what seems like forever but im noy sure if he would have stayed long as hated bein stabled and was quite over powering (the reason i havent got him anymore) was kicked of my yard :( i had a week and couldnt find grazing for him, if u have facebook maybe could add me and have a look at my pictures an videos of him.... Facebook name is... sam tcup siequien

Wow!! The face is identical!! But it's not him I'm afraid, Ned only has 2 white socks on the back...but that face :O :O I can't believe how similar they are!! I hope you manage to track your boy down :) x
 
Oh god lol, that's the first thing i allways look at first is echos white socks on any possible horse!! It was the face of ur boy i was absoloutly convinced haha, sorry to have bothered u but thanks for taking the time to reply, hope all is ok with ur boy xx
 
No problem at all! Have you tried local facebook pages? That's how I found info on Neddy :) I knew where he was bred, so searched groups in the area and found a lady who'd looked after him :D Good luck, I know how awful it is not knowing :(
A horse was sold from my yard, I loved him!!! I didn't know what happened to him, despite asking around etc...but one day, I went to a show at a local yard and there he was!! I couldn't believe it :) he was a horror, but now he's an excellent riding school horse :)
