The plot thickens. I went to another retailer to get another rug (got a Weatherbeeta) and the lovely lady explained why the Mio is not waterproof.

It is only waterproof until the line that goes over the belly. So any water running bellow that will soak through and then make it's way up the lining. If it rains a lot this means it can cause for the whole rug to get wet! They stocked Shires and Weatherbeeta, and apparently both of these have a waterproof lining right to the bottom (even on the cheapest of models)!

That makes a lot of sense considering how the wetness seemed to be appearing!

Anyhow, in terms of getting my money back with the rugs I am hitting my head against a brick wall. Horseware didn't want to know, contract of sale is with the retailer. Retailer says Horseware will not credit them as there is nothing wrong with the rug. So no money for me! :-(

What a nightmare!! Horseware have awful customer service (speaking from past experience I refuse to buy anymore of their products). Hope you can sort something!
