(not sure if posted already) BUT, a badly fitting hat, includes astonishing photos.

I thought the pictures were pretty funny TBH, and why do so many think he was "arrogant" to carry on? He was obviously determined, and went on to prove that riding, and even falling off in a pretty major way, without a hat does not automatically result in your head exploding as a lot of people seem to think.

I think its imploding that most people worry about...

I think its bizarre that he attempted to carry on tbh, not sure why he thought that would be allowed.

agree re the BP comments too.. you really shouldn't be able to see gaps between the front and back sections! .. however safety bothered enough to wear a P2, most odd

I actually think he's cantering back to the water to collect his hat as he passes the next rider who pulled up behind him on the return trip. Perhaps he was pulled up.

However, he also seems to have forgotten to "plug in" his air jacket! Double fail!

Because he was running under affiliated rules he categorically wasn't allowed to ride without a hat on? Pretty arrogant to think he was going to get away with that don't you think?

Amazed the stewards allowed him to continue even after he put it back on frankly given that it clearly wasn't correctly fitted. Hope he's ok anyway the dippy loon!
