Numnah/Saddlecloth

Prob stupid question but can't think of any answers, why would you chose a saddlecloth over a numnah or vice versa. Other than fshowing is there a reason to chose one over the other?

saddlecloths were invented for showjumping for the purpose of displaying names as far as i understand it

I think numnahs look much nicer than saddle cloths. Much harder to get a numnah to fit the saddle properly though.

I think saddle cloths look far better the numnahs (except for when showing). I don't own a single numnah!
