Yep, subtract 10cm to give the space available. You can only order small, medium etc; cms only come into it when deciding which size you need, not ordering.

Mattes natural sheepskin is slightly orangey, most people go for linen or sometimes platin, depending on the overall scheme.

No I mean it just wont let me order at all. Crashing, freezing, refusing to let me be in the UK so then my addresses don't match and so on.. I feel like OH has somehow intercepted any horse purchases :)

Pic taken at saddle fitting of wonky mare in her Fairfax 17.5” classic GPD saddle and a size L GP half sheepskin mattes correction numnah with front fur trim only.

The L is a good generous fit, but if there was a rear fur trim too I think that you’d need to size up. As I posted before, the mattes XL really is very large.

Thank you wonky mare for posing

They've now advised that they don't ship to UK and you have to go through a dealer (but none are anywhere near me)...I'm about ready to give up TBH

At the minute I seem to be doing OK without the need to shim so maybe I just stick with the Le Mieux but if I do need to shim in the future I get a Christ one without the fur at the back?

You could pull the pad back a smidge, check exactly where the leather of the sheepskin ends.

For GP o even jump saddles where the most forward point is lower down this VS cut will work, I use it for all AH GP models for example. If a higher "apex" to the flap then VS. if it's not forward cut enough you end up pulling it forwards (if the topline is long enough) and then struggling with space at the back of the flap. Bear in mind the flap.of a shaped numnah, on most horses, only needs to sit under the sweat flap edge and not the top flap.

I didn't realise you were all trying to order direct, you can't as you've all found out. God bless Brexit. You don't need a distributor near you .....

In the end I went for a...

Sheepskin - Half lined WERNER CHRIST LAMMFELLE

Just waiting for it to arrive...no fur roll at the back so I don't lose saddle space (hopefully)

I actually use the nuumed shim numnahs on my horses but I recently bought some mattes shims and they fit in the pockets really well and for ÂŁ12 they really are very good.

I hope your new pad works for you let me know how it is.
