I have to say it doesnt completely.

A while ago I watched a documentary (may have been Dispatches on Channel 4). The journalist doing it told a nursery she had been a nanny beforehand. She hadnt had any work experience with children, no qualifications or even her own children! The didnt CRB check her until AFTER she had been working with the children. She could have been anyone from anywhere.

Some nurseries she went to were dangerous - one had metal garden tools in the outdoor area, another left her and frequently the unqualified college childcare students alone with far more children than they should have been.

The list went on...

She was undercover obviously but it just shows that not all nurseries are safe. Which is sad, people will become paranoid about where they can leave their child.

My heart goes out to all in that community and the children and their families directly affected by it.

Absolutely, I really feel for the parents. They must feel so abused themselves. I honestly don't know what I would do if the police came around to tell me that this had happened to my kids (if/when I have any)

Not seen a female with tendencies like this before. I suppose it was only a matter of time before 1 emerged. I think this case will go on for a long time and turn up a lot more...

This is precisly why I pay well overthe odds for childcare from someone I know.
I will not leave the children with just anyone. I employ a friend who looks after them in our own home.

I do however realise that I am in an extremly forunate positione to be able to do this.

I cannot even begin to consieder what those parents are going through.

This has actually really upset and angered me. She's a mother herself! What kind of person would do things like that!?

Those poor parents and families. I've just seen about it on the news and its absoloutley heart wrenching for them.

It sickens me to the bone hearing yet again another one has slipped through the net.

Obviously the checks they do are not good enough, they should check more into there background.

I am a mother and my child goes to nursery. My very first reaction to this when I heard it was utter hatred and my first words were "I'd kill her if she touched my child"
How must these families be feeling right now when your child is not even safe at school for 3 hours a day when you try your hardest to protect them.

You could never put it into words.

The thing that shocked me most was the fact it was a woman, especially one with children of her own. For some reason you think woman are the maternal protectors rather than the abusers.

Abuse of the vunerable always upsets me! This "woman" has abused her position of trust to an unimaginable level!

There will never be true justice for those children involved

This is the pre school that my best friend would potentially have put her little boy into - he is nearly 2 now. I cant even begin to imagine what the parents are going through, and her family..well they will have a rough time ahead in the area. I feel for everyone who is caught up in it

i find it very strange that it is a women that maybe be judgementle of me but i just didnt think that could/would happen this is the world we live in and sadly im sure we will only see more cases

it is such a horrible case, and all the more shocking because she's a mother herself!

My mum works in a nursery, she has loads of checks done regularly... but these checks only reveal things if ther person has been caught previously... if that makes sense :s I think far more in depth checks need to be done when it comes to people working with children.

It all makes me feel sick.

I have children on in nursery and one at school this news shocked me to the core I find it absolutly disgusting the poor poor families...

Unfortunatly CRB in my eyes are not worth the paper they are written on fair enough they tell people what you have been up to but only if you have been caught....this woman is 39 years old she has now been caught but for how long has she been getting away with her disgusting behaviour.....

I wonder if she was doing it for her own gratification, or if she was producing the images so that she could sell them on? Obviously it's disgusting either way - I suppose it just seems so weird that a woman would be doing that, it makes more sense to think that she was doing it out of greed, to make money, rather than out of her own perverted desire. Either way, I hope she is in prison for the rest of her life. I feel so sorry for her children!

these poor little souls, i am furious and disgusted, horrified that a mother could do this. This incident will be with these children forever - no matter their ages now, it'll always hang over them like a dark shadow.

laws MUST be changed so that children are never on their own with only one member of staff, as per hospital, a male Dr must have a chaperone when examining a female patient, (unless she declines a chaperone)

My kids are stay at home kids and only go to playgroups where I stay with them, or grannies, but not every child or parent is as fortunate as me.

This woman should be milked of all information she holds on her vile paedophile "friends" and the whole lot of them exorcised from society for the rest of their lives.
