Damn, damn colic!! It is the worst thing, and I am so, so sorry for you, to lose him so young before he had really got going. Same for me (see sig). One day you have a fit and healthy horse, and a couple of days later, RIP.

Just seen your post. I went through a similar thing a few days before Christmas last year. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear about this tragic news. God obviously needed him back, although this has left you in terrible pain. My heart goes out to you as I lost my lad this year.
Sending you hugs and God bless.

That's sad news for you, it's truly like losing one of the family when a family animal dies, heart breaking in fact. Chin up

You are all so lovely, this thread has helped me so much, so from the bottom of my breaking heart, thank you all for your kind words and messages.
We all know the pain of losing our animals and we all know it is part and parcel of having them, but the shock is so hard to cope with and for me the time of year and the fact that he was so young and I wasn't expecting him to be ill.

We collected Coco today, bizarely her owner at the time many years ago loaned Kizzy, Obi's mum, so they already know each other. Coco had been left with friends of mine for a couple of months 3 years ago....
Anyway, this is them half an hour after bringing Coco home
