Okay, this is really hardly to explain to you guys!
My horse is pooing normally, eating normally, working normally, no change in behaviour etc. But since he was wormed a couple of weeks ago, he constantly has loose dribbles of diorreah and he doesn't look very comfortable when this happens.
At first, I thought it was down to the wormer, should only last a couple of days, but its gone on for just over two weeks now. Its at the point where I have to clean his bum and his legs everyday, as it looks disgusting, and I don't want it to rub when he's working.
Has anyone got an idea what this could be?
I was speaking to the lady who is stabled next to me, and said that quite often, she hears him farting alot, and grunting, not sounding very comfortable, and she truely believes he has an ulcer. Which I'm still a bit unconvinced, he has ablib hay, out for around 6 hours a day, worked 5 times a week atleast, and is fed chaff, baileys top line conditioning cubes and garlic. She said that perhaps I could try him on a pro-biotic supplement to see if this helps, which could be a good option, but wondered what others thought?
I am also going to restrict turn out at the weekend to two hours incase its just the grass thats a bit to rich for him at the moment and see if that makes a difference.
or if no difference ask a vet! Has anyone had this problem before? What did you do to resolve? Any advice appreciated :0) xx
