Typically, been building up to my ODE for ages, and now neddy develops a nasty cough.
A gut wrenching, rattling, chesty, farts at the same time kinda cough. It takes over his whole body as soon as he trots when ridden.
He even gave himself a nosebleed after a big coughing, snorting, blowing fit.
I have the vet coming out tomorrow.
Couple of yard chums say he'll need antibiotics.
At first when it was just a tickle of a cough I thought it was the hay or perhaps even his deep littered bed (so I gutted that and disinfected his stable) but it hasn't helped and in fact its got worse, and quite quickly, so I have called the vet.
What do you think? Chest infection? Bronchitis?
I am more than happy to forgo my ODE this weekend (and will follow the vets advice), but just a bit concerned about this awful hacking nasty cough.
Any ideas?
