Luckily a bit big for me though, phew

I bought this:
basildonshow-1.jpg

From them, he was a scruffy ,scrawny thing of about 14.2hh, he grew into a 16.3hh hunter, was 2nd and 3rd in HOY qualifiers as a ridden hunter.
(don't look at the rider, think I dropped a fiver!)

He looks lovely!

I bought Jazz from them, she beats yours - when I tried her she had a fat leg, was on bute and was recovering from transit fever, however she was the smartest thing there at the time and knew if I waited she would go quicker than the rest, so took her home

Very cute......

Ahh so that's where you go thim from.....I keep seeing their adverts and tried to visit them 2 weeks ago interested in buying horses..... was not impressed to get nearly all the way there to be told that I couldn't despite making a firm appointment the day before.

So i've ended up with a couple of nice warmbloods instead !!
grin.gif

I will however be keeping a close eye on how yours turns out ...??!!!

I bought one from them in July too. Skinny, insect ridden, worm ridden grey mare- is turning so far in to a real cracker. Was four on 25th June, and is now jumping 2'6-2'9 courses, competing prelim (unaff.) and generally being very sweet.

Hope yours turns out to be a cracker too- he looks lovely!

Thank you everybody

Kerilli, S_J, eventerlad and C_B I agree he should be very nice once furnished (not sure if I'll keep him that long though) siennamum I think you're right - let's hope he channels his energies in a positive fashion

Splotchy, tbh, I hadn't really seen him in the light when I saw you, I hoped he was nice but wasn't certain

BD I tried SO hard to buy a coloured or something interesting
wink.gif
but succumbed to the bay thing in the end
tongue.gif
At least he's got a mealy muzzle, does that count as interesting?

teapot he is very fluffy and cute but wouldn't be very comfy in bed atm, too many angular bits sticking out
wink.gif
Plus he's a bit of a fidget
grin.gif

charlie, bounty and MH thanks for the photos and stories! I think you can indeed get a bargain there if you keep your eyes open and are bold/lucky in equal measure
wink.gif
MH actually I think it's a tie as Joe was also lame, hence all the "3 legged" jokes here and on FB. But it does help to get the price down as they last thing they want is a horse taking up a stable recovering when they could be selling more
wink.gif

chatter1 - they obviously didn't like the cut of your jib
wink.gif
grin.gif
Have to be quicker next time
wink.gif
And whaddya mean "a couple" of warmbloods, you've only confessed to ONE so far, what's going on??

Very sweet expression!!

Not sure about Joe though?? What about Furble (would go with Gamebird's Fugly).

Can't wait to see smart pics in the spring (any hope that the 'three legged-ness' has cleared up by now poor boy
