Yes, I just hate nosebands that tie the mouth closed. They turn the bit into a torture device.

I think most do realize, they have just decided to solve the problem by using the flash/grackle/drop noseband, which is after all what they are for.

Bitting experts??? Bits are getting too complicated if they've created another opportunity for experts. Bits are covered in any basic horse care, horsemanship manual and any sensible person will read one or two before buying a horse. Anyone who doesn't read up on basic horsemanship before buying a horse needs a good instructor and their head testing, not a bitting expert.
