Oh dear I am a rugaholic

1 x Rambo supreme
1 x Rambo optimo
1 x rhino heavyweight
1 x amigo medium weight
2 x amigo rain sheets/summer turnouts
1 x Rambo duo

1 x weatherbeeta 370g
1 x weatherbeeta medium weight
2 x weatherbeeta summer turnouts

1 x amigo insulator stable rug
1 x derbyhouse duvet
1 x weatherbeeta heavyweight stable rug
1 x weatherbeeta lightweight stable rug

1 x Newmarket fleece
1 x amigo jersey cooler
1 x weatherbeeta fleece cooler
1 x show rug
1 x horseware velvety/velour show rug (had it for about 7 years - it's my baby!)

And worst of all... 18 derbyhouse rugs I donated to the mountain horse society since I've had Minnie since she was a baby and I was hoarding all of her rugs she had growing up.

If my OH ever sees this I deny all knowledge of ever buying any of these rugs and definitely did not spend a whole Christmas bonus on buying rugs...

I have

standard lightweight
full neck lightweight
standard no fill
full neck no fill
standard medium
full neck medium
another full neck medium
cooler waffle rug
show fleece
another fleece
big warm stable rug
heavyweight combo
another heavyweight combo!
fly sheet
exercise sheet
another stable/ under rug

this was for one spoilt pony.. I then bought another horse who is by some miracle- exactly the same size as her! if not a little bit smaller despite being a whole hand bigger.

I too am a rugaholic :)

For 2 horses i have:

1x no fill turnout
1x no fill combo turnout
2x 100g turnout
3x 200g combo turnout
1x 180g combo turnout
3x 300g combo turnout

2x mesh cooler
1x waffle cooler
2x travel rug
1x cotton sheet
1x fleece exercise sheet

1x 100g stable rug
1x 150g combo stable rug
2x 300g combo stable rug
1x 200g stable rug
1x fly rug

Think that is the end of the list :) Though only had new mare 2 week and she is a bit bigger than other so may have to get some new spring rugs :)

This thread makes me feel so much better! I'm definitely a rugaholic  Moved yards recently and didn't realise i had so many until i took up one entire rug holder when everyone else has about a quarter of one with a only a few rugs! :o I've only had him two years and he already has:
3 fleeces one with a neck, two without
one lightweight stablerug
two medium weight stable rugs
one heavy weight combo stable rug

then for outdoors
two lightweights ( for the summer when one is soaked through)
three medium weights one combo (which is rubbish) one with a detachable neck, and one standard neck (also useless)
one mega heavyweight
oh and not forgetting two stablesheets to keep him clean in the summer and a flyrug.
Hmmmm after writing all that I am beggining to think maybe I should give some away... :D :o

I don't normally bother to list them all but, jumping shamelessly on the bandwaggon...

Two horses:
2 x Rambo Duos
1 x Rambo HW Combo
2 x HW Rambo Wugs
1 x Bucas Smartex HW with neck
1 x Bucas Smartex Rain with neck
2 x Premier Equine 40g Bustinos
2 x Amigo LW T/Os
1 x Rhino Wug LW
1 x Rhino Wug MW
1 x Rambo HW stable wug
1 x Bucas Celtic MW stable rug
1 x Masta MW stable rug
2 x Bucas Shamrock Coolers
2 x Thermatex rugs
1 x Aerborn/Thermalux rug
1 x Rambo travel/cooler rug
1 x Amigo LW Stable rug
1 x Aerborn MW stable rug

So, 24 rugs in total. Not bad for two horses :)

1 x HW combo turnout
1 x MW combo turnout
1 x MW turnout( attachable neck)
1 x LW turnout

2 x MW stable
1 x HW stable ( attachable neck)

1 x fleece
1 x travel rug
1 x cooler

2 x under rug combo

and then i found a new excuse for buying rugs, the exercise sheet, so he now has
1 x exercise sheet
1 x cut out exercise rain sheet
and on order today 1 x exercise cut out fleece

oh and all just for one horse!

This is great:D I have done a screen grab and kept all your confessions on my computer so future use against the OH. Currently have a dozen rugs for my boy but spend hours window shopping online.....I now have the ammunition to do some real shopping :D

Wow you lot must have money to burn!

1 rain sheet and 1 light weight per horse. No necks. Done.

The LW's havnt made it out of the garage yet either :p

I WANT Becca's rug room! Our yard's 'resting' rugs get cleaned, bagged and chucked up into the loft bit above the tackroom, requiring a hairy wobble up a big ladder to retrieve them.

I've just totted them up in my head and I've only got 15 rugs (for 1 Welsh D) and that's including spares and the ones that live in the horsebox. Which is actually quite minimalist! I feel much better now :) *rummages through Ride-Away catalogue*

You lot are making me feel better about my rug collection:

Turnouts:
1 x rain sheet
1 x 100g amigo
1 x 200g rhino with detachable neck
1 x 200g weatherbeeta combo as a spare

Stable rugs:
1 x premier equine multi-buster combo sheet thing
1 x mark todd cotton sheet with neck
1 x 100g weatherbeeta combo
1 x 200g fal with detachable neck
1 x 100g rambo liner used for stable and turnout
1 x 200g rambo liner - ditto

1 x thermetex
1 x cordura covered thermatex
1 x weatherbeeta combo fleece

I like having lots of rugs because I prefer laying thin rugs that can go in the washing machine. I absolutely cannot stand handling rugs that smell so the liners and stable rugs get washed at least weekly. I wouldn't have stable rug heavier than 200g because it wouldn't fit in the machine.

*gulps*
for one horse I have:

2 x 100g TO
2 x no fill rain sheets
2 x 200g TO
1 x 300g TO
3x fleeces (one never used)
1x standard thermatex
1x thermatex summer cooler
1x waffle cooler
1x fleece exercise sheet
1x hi viz quarter sheet
1x waterproof, fleece lined exercise sheet
1x fly rug
1 x 200g stable rug

Please stop these posts ;) I have been plagued by dreams of heat lamps since you mentioned your stables, this morning you told us about your horses lovely shavings beds, now I find out your equine wardrobe is perfectly stocked - I'm seriously concerned that if my ponies find out they will want to move to live with you instead of me :o If you also have extensive hacking which includes hills and woods please keep it to yourself :D

My ponies each have 2 lightweight turnouts, 2 med weights and 2 heavy weights each. Plus a stable rug in each weight, 2 coolers (each) one mesh sweat rug (shared) a summer sheet (shared) a fly rug each and an exercise sheet. I've never thought a horse needed 2 of each weight turnout before but the rain this year rather changed things

They have asked for Thermatex rugs and leg wraps for Christmas :o

Aw, thank you! I'm terribly sorry to say it, but we have 10,000 acres of off road hacking....hills, woods, fields, the lot... sorry! http://www.facebook.com/AbbeyBarnEquestrian?ref=hl that's me - just to persuade you to move here and keep your horses with me!

And Teasle - I have a livery yard, and made the rug room specifically so that it would house my disgusting rug collection. I have at least one in every size, which has actually been really useful when I've had liveries come to me needing an extra layer or if they've destroyed their own rugs.

I'm a rugaholic and proud. :D

Oh dear, feeling quite guilty....... My collection:-

1 x bug rug
1 x cotton stable sheet
1 x Mark Todd stable sheet
1 x derby house fleece
1 x Premier Equine Posh fleece for party's
1 x Mark Todd light weight turnout
2 x Amigo light weight turnouts
1 x Amigo medium weigh turnout
1 x Fal medium weight turnout
1 x Shires combo medium weight turnout
1 x Fal heavy weight turnout

OMG, I'm not even going to list my stable rugs....I only have one horse 👀

Tbh, the only ones she wears are the Amigo light weights and medium weight and her posh fleece when we go out. The other rugs don't get used, all clean and boxed up.

I have a rug obsession, I have a rug obsession......help 🙏

I feel quite bad now lol...

my mare just has a lightweight turnout and a mediumweight turnout!
..along with a fly sheet and medium weight stable rug.

oh and also an anti rub vest, and the rug she came with!

Luckily this is all she's ever needed, althought if I could afford to buy more rugs and she actually needed them..then I can definatly see myself becoming a rugaholic :p

sorry for blurry & big!

My rug collection :). I also have storage bags full of spares and travel rugs of varying weights in the horsebox :o. I don't think I have as many as Starzaan  207!! but I have a specially laid out Rug Room complete with whiteboard to say whats in each box.... definitely rugaholic behaviour! :o :D

haha,no you have matchy matchy OCD :D

Wow I am very impressed that you know exactly what you have. I have no idea how many rugs I have for 12 horses. I know they all have at least 3 each but then there ares boxes here at home, rug racks and boxes at the yard and I know there are rugs in the garage too. Oh help I think I better start to have a sort out. I am sure the spares could go to one of the charities.

I have
2 standard neck rainsheets
1 full neck rainsheets
1 standard neck MW turnouts
2 full neck MW turnouts
1 full neck with fleecy snuggly neck MW turnout
1 full neck HW turnout
1 Thermatex
1 Full neck stable rug/under rug

I don't think that is enough really. :D

Lets see, between the 2 ginger ones I have:
1 x no fill
1 x 100g
2 x 180g combos
2 x 200g standard neck
2 x 300g combos
2 x 300g standard neck
2 x Rhino Wugs
2 x standard stable rug
2 x combo stable rugs
2 x fly sheets
2 x summer sheets
2 x coolers
6 x fleeces
2 x mesh cooler

The two little'uns each have:
mw turnout
mw combo
hw turnout
fleece
mesh cooler

I fear I have a problem :o

That is EPIC :D

guilty as charged :o. But as well as being my guilty pleasure its also pretty useful. Its great if theres a problem & my Dad has to do the horses as he can look at the whiteboard and see what each horse should be wearing at that temperature range, and also see where to find it :D. (*cough OCD*). Before this they used to end up wearing all sorts of interesting things! - once I came home after a long delay on motorway to find he'd put a newmarket exercise blanket on the back of one of mine because I'd asked him to put on the red gold and black stripe rug, thinking the colour would make it easy for him to find....never occurred to me about the exercise blanket! Luckily said mare was still stood munching her haylage with it on her, she looked a little bemused when I got home and started laughing at her :D.

BUT the best best best best best advantage of lovely well sealed boxes......
NO MASSIVE SPIDERS hiding in rugs that haven't been worn for a bit! :D.

PS Starzaan how do you store 207 rugs?! ... noting to self for future reference ;).
