Well as of last night he is officaly called "The horrid one" again. He nearly gave me heartfailer last night.
I got back from work and it was starting to rain so I thought I would give him a quick lunge.
He came in from the field normal.
He went for me while I was putting his roller on (this is normal)
and he walked to the school normaly.
But I took him in to lunge him sent him out on the circle and he got down to roll. I wasn't massively worried as he sometimes does that anyway. I made him get up and tried to send him out again and he just layed back down again. But this time he didn't roll he just layed there. Everytime I tried to make him get up he just went flat out.
Then I would realy try to get him up and he would sit up on his bum, put his head on his front leg, groan and would slide his front legs down so he was layed back down with his front legs out in front of him
My head went into panic mode. I made him get up and everytime I did he just got back down again.
By now I was in full panic mode and rang my OH. He told me not to panic Herbs was prob just taking the Pee. He would folow me quite happily round the arena but as soon as I tried to lunge again he would just lie down.
I took him for a walk up the track inhand to see how he was out and he was his normal self, bright and alert. On the way back I climed onto him bareback to see what he thought about having a rider on and again he was normal. So then I rode him in the school bareback in walk, trot and canter,
Yes you guessed it all normal.
He obviously desided to stage a sit in as he didn't want to lunge
and atleast he's not refusing to lunge by trying to kill me like he did when I first got him.
He's such a special little pony. It's a good job I love him realy isn't it
