You would have to be barking to want one.

They will have limited to no experience outside the home. They will have missed out on such vital socialisation.

A four month old XL bully that does not know life outside of the confines of a house? Never seen traffic. Never seen other dogs. Never seen an array of simple things like people in uniform, children on bicycles, someone mowing the lawn etc.

No thanks.

But they will have the experience of holding their own in a scrap.

I'm not a dog person, but surely they won't be able to be able to properly train them as individuals either - I'd want any dog to be implicitly trained, but even more so this breed as there's so much more than can go wrong

They're stuck in one room with limited exercise, I have visions of them going in the room one day and the whole pack of them turning. They're massive as well they're not allowed going to have proper space either

It sounds like they are well meaning but naïve, I'd have got rid of the new dog before rehoming my elderly dog that presumably they've had many years.

This is not going to end well. I could maybe understand keeping one of the puppies but not 8... It wouldn't even be so bad if it was another breed but this one needs such attention to detail as when it goes wrong, it goes really wrong - there are too many of them to provide that, even if they were a regular breed how can you give them the one to one attention they need when you have so many

The feed costs will be extortionate

Could they have terminated the pregnancy that late as sounds like she only had a month left if they got her in November and they arrived in December

Crowd funding incoming to buy them a massive house....
Thats the point though they couldn't rehome the bitch and puppies and keep their existing dog, by the time the existing dog couldn't cope with the household the ban would have been in place.
They sound as others have said well meaning but naive.

Wrt the situation with the puppies, I wonder how people will feel if they donate to support a new home for the couple and then hear that the puppies/dogs have had to be pts, or caused a serious incident? I wonder how many people will really want to help...other than with empty sentiment which is no help at all of course! I feel so uncomfortable with the idea of a pack of related XL bullies that this has been preying on my mind.

It’s sad but they need to be PTS.
