Ok, Arab or TB?

When will you open your SS Pressie?

TB if I had to choose between the two, but really I'm a cob person!!

If I had to choose I'd say TB (Arabs are just too "pretty" for me) but the best is combining them! The bay in my siggie is AA, my friend has a cool grey AA boy, and my new share horse is an AA:

Funny, as no-one know knows me would have said AAs would be suitable... but having ridden so many, I like them!

Arab any day thats coming from a nutty showing person though! i work with thoroughbreds and im not saying i dont love them so dont get me wrong. Both hot blooded breeds both have their quirks but so can any breed. For me their beauty and grace when they move is like nothing on this plannet a real wow factor . And thanks to this wonderful breed we can appreciate the thoroughbred and many many breeds!!!!!!!! They are the best¬!!!!!!!!! :

HE IS STUNNING!

I have always wanted a AA I think they are the best combo of horse you can get lol!

Between the two it would be an Arab........preferably small and compact, most tbs are too tall for my liking. (Short arse you see, I like to be able to see their backs from the ground)

I love arabs - dont get me wrong, I can appreciate a good tb, but for me arabs have it all - speed, stamina, looks, compact, tough, full of character etc etc!!

i'd go for an anglo too, and this is from a person who owns two purebreds

. Don't get me wrong my boy has done everything for me and done it well, but there is just so much prejudice against them that tbh i could do without the hassle everytime i go out.

Out of the two, I would say TB.

But given a choice it would be an AA every day of the week.

I love their personalities, characture, attitude, stamina, intelligence, robustness (is that a real word?) and the fact they seem to turn their hand to anything.

Here's a pic of my very old lad.

What a choice! I love both!
I have an AA and an Arab. I was owned by a TB for a very short time before he was taken from me, and he was the best.
Can't choose between them!

Have had both and would pick Arab any day. Hardy, loyal, tough, intelligent, good doers with great feet. My old TB could never have wintered out - my Arabs are far happier out than in.

But I guess it depends what you want from them - the TB was easier to persuade to do something he felt uneasy about. The Arabs say No first and then have to think about it. Arabs are very 'rider responsive' - if you're an uptight nervy sort of person you'll have an uptight nervy sort of Arab.

Am struggling to choose. I'm a cob person too but used to have an Anglo Arab and she was the sweetest allrounder ever. I'd probably choose Arab at a push.

A friend of ours has some arab babies and they are adorable, really sweet to be around aswell, and 3 hack past us every morning and they seem perfect. Ginga is such a small bit arab, dont think it makes a difference.
Never really experience many TB's, we had one who was fab but bolted every time at shows, so not the greatest, we also had a 7/8th TB, and he was a stunning hunter, did very well in both working and show hunter classes but was nearly 18HH, and was very ill mannered, he hunted well but was too hot to enjoy. And Pip is abit TB, and he is very foward going and sensitive, but that would also apply to welsh and hackney so on balance Arabs for me!

TB's I'm afraid, having owned and worked with both I find arabs nice but not for me. The Arab racehorses are a lot harder to ride at work than the TB's, they never forget anything and it depends on which side of bed they got out of on how they behave. The TB's can be kidded along a bit. As for my own horses which I own now, the Arab x ID is a bit quirky, laid back most of the time, but can be super spooky and stubborn, the TB x Welsh D is very hot, very loving and brave. I feel safer on the Arab x but he has let me down badly where his stubborn moments come in. The TB x scares the living sh*t out of me sometimes but is very honest.

Personally for something to ride, because I'm a short*rse it would be an arab. But we've got 2 arabs and 2 TBs and I love them all. The arabs are in my sig and these are our TBs:
