Hi
This is pretty gross.
My mare has always had fairly loose droppings. THey are what I would call "normal" in her stable and field, but when we are out hacking or jumping, doing something she finds exciting, they come loose, to the point where you can get squirted if you stand behind!
But I have noticed a change this past week.
I moved her to a new yard, so at first thought that maybe it was the stress and excitement of being somewhere new. SHe is also on much better grazing now and is out 24/7.
Her poo is now a light mustard kind of colour all the time, and is runnier than it used to be.
Should I be worried - I know that runny poo on better grazing can be an early indicator of laminitis and stuff. The grazing isn't what I'd call lush. It's long (kind of knee length) stalky grass.
Thanks
