Listening to the XC commentary, High Kingdom is out of a Chair Lift mare - so is ours. Looked it up on all pedigrees and their mummies are half sisters. We told Bill this tonight so hopefully he will be on Olympic form soon......as soon as he can trot in a straight line!

I used to be groom to the Brazilian horse Tom Bombadill Too (aka Tommy), when he was 'A Brit'!. Lovely horse, but never in lots of years would I have thought he'd have been an Olympic horse.

I was on the telly yesterday (along with thousands!!) - and at on point being the sole person cheering on Mary (I was down the back of the course just before the Time jump - I was all alone!)

Does that count?? :D:D

Mary King fell off at the fence before ours at Burnham Market. My sister caught the horse and handed it back and she said thank you. Tenous, but a claim nonetheless :D It also brightened our day up endlessly as we had the dullest fence ever!!

I spent a day at Mary King's yard in March and groomed Archie and Tess. And I helped Mary kit out her new lorry. I watched while Archie had his front legs scanned and saw Mary trot him up for the vet and lunge him.

I was on the phone with a client explaining that i was at Mary King's yard and that I was a bit star struck and when I had finished Mary came round the corner and said 'You don't need to be star struck you know!' - totally embarrassed.

I've written for tests nicola wilspn has ridden and have met her loafs of time, oh and she's good friends with my uncle and sunty in law.

These are all such amazing stories!
I've never met any of the team, I'd love to although I think i would definitely be very 'star struck' myself. I was on telly in 2009 after one of the horses went a bit wonky during the cross country at Badminton - cue the crowd scrambling out of the way - we were at the front!

Groomed for Nicola down at Belton and did WEX at her yard. I have also met Mark Todd, Caroline and Mary and had a tour of Mary's lorry and a cuddle with her ponies :)

I walked into Zara Phillips (yes, literally!) and when I realised it was her I then nearly fell over and apologised far too much :p
Met Mark Todd and had a lovely chat with him before anyone else around (at a horsey event) realised who it was.. Then he was swarmed

My dad has worked on site as part of the team for 5 years over the build and he's now the man sat in the control room overlooking the entire Olympic park

Oooh!!

-My youngsters Grand Sire 'Another Hoarwithy' bred a horse ridden by Zara Phillips! (Not sure of name - sorry!)

- Trevor Hemmings (who owns High Kingdom) lives about 2 miles from me. (I drive past Hedgehunter and Ballabriggs everyday on my way to work ;) )

- My trainer is a good friend of Yogi Breisner.

- I've met and had a photo taken with Micheal Whitaker...

I think that's all :D

I met Tina Cook last year when she came to view my daughter's pony I'd put up for sale. Met both the children and her mum too! Really nice people but sadly they decided my pony was a bit too small :(

My daughter went round telling everyone she met for ages that she was friends with an Olympic medalist ;);) not to mention boring my mother to tears today making her watch the jumping all the way through to Tina's round :o :)

Once helped tina put her ramp up at an event & she's a former member of our pony club. Team vet also my old vet! This is a bit like Chris Evans top tenuous on radio 2!

My vet was vetting at the XC and I saw him on tv,standing with a group of other people round one of the horses that unseated its rider (it was a bay-can't
remember which now-there seemed to be so many fallers!)

Ludvig Svenerstal comes and gets coffee and cake from me when I help run Dressage at Yorkshire riding centre, he is lovely and I had no clue who he was until yesterday when I recognised him on telly :)

I attended a work jolly and sit down dinner at Ascot. Alice (Plunket) Fox-Pitt was our host, and was seated next to me for our 4 course lunch. She was lovely, and we had a really good natter about horses, and a mutual friend/aquaintance.
Said friend also works at Gatcombe & Bramham and is known to the riders - her husbands arm was on the cover of Hello magazine alongside Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall a few years ago :D
She's on her way home from a very cushy job at the Olympics tomorrow too.

The first yard I "worked" on during school holidays and weekends was owned by Scott Brash's Mum and Dad :D
I did a XC event years ago on a TB I owned, walking back to the lorry after my round, Ian Stark smiled at me and said "nice horse, that was a really good round." :D
When I worked as a SJ groom, we once stayed overnight on the Whitaker's yard. I met Milton in his stable :D:D:D
I remember Ben Maher when he was in Juniors. The girl I groomed for used to compete against him in Home Pony Internationals.
Not Zara Phillips, but I've physically bumped into her Dad at Gleneagles, or should I say, He turned around and walked right into me. He was very apologetic :D

The farrier I use shoes 2 of the event horses. 1 Brit, 1 Aus. Sadly he was very right when joked about him putting his prices up when he could say he was farrier 2 olympic gold medalist last time he shod my mare

I have a photo of me and mark todd at badminton about 11 years ago!! And when I was about 14 I won a cross country at pony club that tina cook (gifford as she was then) had won years previously :-) I was so proud
