Nope, not controversial at all imo just sensible.
And what I really don't understand is this; ok, so most of those horses aren't going to be stars, but plenty of them probably could be sold to competent owners lower down the echelons of the horse world. But not if they're half starved as yearlings and grow up shonky. It doesn't really even make business sense. Cull the real dross, look after the rest and you've got more money in the kitty surely?!
No idea, tbh, what his business model is supposed to be, I know what it is - a shambles, but what it is supposed to be? Who knows. I think part of the problem might be that Poland is cheaper than Denmark, but not THAT much cheaper, and his idea of cost involved was unrealistic (that is being kind to him, really).
