There's been a hold on course for over half an hour now. What's going on?

Georgie Campbell has had a nasty fall, and horse walked back to stables. Someome working for CMH posted the Bicton statement on their instragram.

He didn’t look slow! We saw him at fence 5 and saw him finish. I was surprised how many faults they had, wondered if they’d had a pin at first. But they are just perfect to watch.

As was Kitty.

The Japanese riders went well. I think the Olympics will be interesting.

Froggy and Walter still both listed as entered, alongside London 52, JL Dublin, and Banzai Du Loir, all in the 4*.

The other long listed horses haven't run since before Badminton/Badminton/when the list was announced, which makes me now wonder whether the team will come from the above horses, as it must be getting pretty close to team annoucement deadline.

Who do you reckon for the team, teapot?

I was originally leaning to Ros & Walter, Oli (though BC hasn’t run since March), and still undecided on the third! I was hoping Tom J would have a great Badminton as my third choice, but not as sure now.

Shame we can’t send two teams!

As a slight aside my friend/instructor helps one of the para dressage riders who is hoping to go to the opympics. I went searching for the Olympic team rider lists and clicked on dressage and was a bit saddened to see that the para riders weren't on that list (even as a subset of it). I had to go back and click on a separate "Para dressage" link which I thought was a bit of a shame. I'm sure it's all political.

Actually I think it should be seperate - the para riders deserve their own page and annoucement, not a by-line underneath the likes of Hester and CDJ. It's also an entirely different pot of money.

Also the dressage and para dressage long lists haven't been released yet. This is at the bottom of the sj long list annoucement 'Nominated entries for dressage combinations will be announced over the following weeks. Nominated entries for the para dressage squad for the Paralympic Games in Paris will be published in June.' All the formal Olympic team pages on the British Equestrian website relate to Tokyo.

Where is everyone lol? I'm suprised not to see OT running Thomas for example.. I know there are more obvious choices but things can so easily change I'd have thought they'd all be proving their form as recent as possible?

Still lame, maybe?
I see the US team has been announced and missing Mai Baum and Chin Tonic due to injury, that will be a big loss for them.

Yes I just saw that. Poor Oli and Co, he must be devastated. I’d have previously guessed him on BC, Ros and Kitty. Now perhaps Tom and Dubs or Yasmin in his place?

Walter and Froggy off Luhmuhlen entries which makes sense. Be interested to see if Oli's mare is run anywhere in the near future. I know she won Kentucky but you'd want a prep run of some kind surely pre Olympics, if indeed they get selected?

It feels like our brits haven’t done much this year compared to other nations that I follow. I’m sure they know what theyre doing - when they have gone out they’ve done well. It’s just a little nerve wracking watching and waiting!

Just seen the dressage shortlist, a lot as expected but I was surprised to see Annabella Pidgley on it, I didn't think she'd competed Pumpkin that much, I'm the first to admit I've not followed them that closely though. Is anyone more in the know able to offer insight?
