Olympic tickets for sale this morning

arrgh I want to re sell my XC ones, does anyone know when this will be poss? Or if i can pass them on at face value?
 
I didn't get any I tried at 11.00am on the dot but all gone. Well done Kun and LR I,m not pissed off at all!!!!

Yes, you can re-sell them via the olympic ticket sales system.

From the olympic website:
"Ticket resale

If you are no longer able to use any Olympic Games or Paralympic Games tickets you have been allocated, you will have the opportunity to resell your tickets at face value through the official London 2012 ticket resale programme in 2012. This will be the only authorised way to sell any tickets you are unable to use or buy tickets from people offering tickets for resale.

Tickets are strictly non-transferable and must not be sold or advertised for sale on the internet, in newspapers or anywhere else other than via the official London 2012 ticket resale programme. Please read Terms and conditions of ticket purchase at http://www.tickets.london2012.com/purchaseterms.html for full details about the transfer, resale and use of tickets."
 
Tried all the sj & eventing xc & sj & got nowt. :(

Just a musing though - were there actually tickets for them all available today? Just wondering if there were why did those that applied in the first instance not get allocated them then?! (If u know what I mean!!)

I really don't understand the whole process!!
 
Tina, they are tickets people got allocated and decided they didn't want. The system was daft in that some people got allocated everything they wanted when they had applied for loads and others got nothing.

I had originally applied for xc and didn't get and people are getting them today.
 
I managed to get 2 xc day tickets this morning which I also applied for in the first instance and missed out. Can't wait, mum's bday present sorted! Good luck to all those still trying!

I'm truly p****d off. I applied only for sj finals in the first lot of applications without success. Now others are getting them when I tried first!!! It all seems a bit of a bodge to me :(

(Yea I'm bitter - girls are gutted!)

No i didn't. Does that mean i can't get any now at all? awww im devestated.
 
I know - it's been an annoying system. Didn't tell people that the more times you try, the earlier you can then apply next time around.

I didn't get xc which is what I really wanted, but I have got good sj and dressage instead. Hey ho, maybe someone'll swap for some xc ones :)
 
Woo! Got 2 tickets to the team dressage final. Tried for the eventing tickets but no luck. Very pleased as I was sure I'd never get any! :D

Thank You, its says a resale window will happen in the spring of 2012... errrr.. hasn't that been.
Would love to make them available to people who can make it!!!
 
Im on the site looking for tickets too! How do you apply? Is the application the bit you fill in when you register? As it asks what bits you are interested in watching? Other than that I see no other way to apply for tickets?
 
Sob, missed out again :( Poor OH spent 45 minutes trying every combo possible for eventing and SJ for me after I scheduled a meeting over 11am like a complete pillock. He's now on a bit of rant on my behalf over a) how appallingly it's been set up today with single tickets presumably being snapped up inefficiently leaving no 2/3/4 combos and b) how appallingly the site behaved - one tab he had open hung on the search for 25 mins before showing... nowt.

Tellybox and paper flag it is, then.

Did you try for tickets in the original rounds last year? Today's priority sale is only for people who had tried to get tickets when they first went on sale;) I think they will be opened up to everyone else later in the week.
 
ah yeah but diff account! When do they open up for my new account? Though im sure I read todays sales are for anyone who didnt get them first time and people who didnt apply first time....

Stupid system, why dont the BSJA offer a number of tickets to its members and same for the other discipline's! Im doing an equine degree at an equine college and they have had no tickets offered here either! I thought there would be more tickets being pushed towards members of BE, BD, BSJA and colleges and other equestrian organisations!

Just spoke to LOCG today as I have some tickets that I want to offload. Was advised that the next resell date has not been decided yet but that anyone with tickets should get an email once it has been decided. You should then be able to offer your tickets for resale - but not guaranteed they will sell. You can't 'pass' them off through any other route than the official one.

Happy as I got two tickets today for the Kur having failed to get any dressage tickets in previous applications.
