Well I *think* the lights were turned on (on a very sad tree, sat at an angle and surrounded by high wire fencing
) in our town tonight. But I *think* they forgot to mention that they were then going to attempt to recreate the shelling of Beirut from the castle walls right behind our house 
OMG. I was going to call the police it was that bad and that loud, our walls were shaking - and it went on for 40 minutes - like something you watch on Sky News.
There are horses very near there, but there must be HUNDREDS of terrified pets too - Percy pup was fine, but my poor terrier. How on earth the horses coped, I don't know. I have never heard fireworks so loud before.
