Hi all,
For those that dont know i bought a 12hh pony from the sales in November and she has been broken and is riding nicely, However over the last few months she has developed a rather large belly, so i got the vet out to do an internal and vet said " No not in foal so cary on"
Anyway today got to the field tonight to bring in my 3 horses and there they were all looking at the small wet lump on the floor.
Little Dodo is now the proud mum of a beautiful coloured filly foal.
Here is a pic of new mum and baby.

wow what a cutie!!!

Bet you were like "WOw Wat the.. AWWWW"

We had this happen at our riding school (next doors stallion jumped in, bonked the welsh A and left again! ended up with a MASSIVE foal with a right attitude! hehe)

what you gonna do with baby now then?

I am chuffed to bits really but no idea what to call her so any ideas would be appriciated.
She is a beautiful foal but dont think dad was a section A !

another BOGOF suprise, she is a lovly little thing, must be a shock after vet said she wasn't in foal, I hope your going to get the vet to refund the consultation fee?

Very sweet.I would be chuffed to find her in one of my fields, so if you decide you dont like you can pop her in a jiffy bag and send her next day recorded!

Will keep foal for a while i think but mum was bought to break and sell but will re-think that one later.
Luckily we have our own land and stables so shouldnt be too much trouble, we have bred foals in the past but its much less of a shock when you know they are coming. lol

What a lovely suprise, was my best surprise last week, although I knew mine was infoal.

Why don't you name her something to do with the summer solstice as she was born on that day.
Summer solstice (Summer for short)
midsummer Dream
Or for something really different, how about Epona. The ancient Gauls used to worship her in their midsummer celebrations.Epona is a goddess in the form of a mare and signifies fertility and soveriegnty

Oh well done Little Dodo, what a clever girl.
Absolutely lovely foal and mum looks in in terrific condition too. Just think, you've gone through all that foaling palaver without any of the worry!
