My old boy really does know how to make my heart pump, thank god ness a really scarey moment turned into a funny one today ( touch wood)
We were feeding at teatime, and unfourtuantly we have to feed 14 horses together in a field, no way around it I am afraid, but it normaly goes without much ado.
Any way tonight, one of the poines came up behind Dex and got too close so Dex gave him both barrels, just about vertical in the air ( very impressive for some one soo old :s) when he came back down ,the ground literally slipt from under his feet!!!!!!!, the poor old thing came down like a ton weight ( think back to the Del boy moment in the wine bar), poor pony next to him missed diaster by inches, but his face just said ' mind my dinner old chap'.
I was welling up as I had not seen him on the ground since his days last year of falling down and then not getting back up, but he got up, looked to make sure noone had seen ( embarrased) and carried on as normal.
Only when he had finished eating did I dry my eys and started laughing as he came over as if to say' Do you think I got away with that'?
