OMW...RESCUE?...I THINK NOT

The Facebook page could do with some admin. At the moment its just full of people chatting about what's on telly tonight. (Something with Simon Cowell apparently...).

Seriously, if true the situation at that "rescue" place is dreadful.

Scumbags, the lot of them. More attention needs to be drawn to these bastards, the heat should be on and the word should be spread.
Thanks for posting that video OP, i'll be sharing & keeping the pressure on to get this scam of a 'rescue' shut down.

I had trouble watching all the video and I don't have Facebook so could someone PM me the name of this place and what part of South Wales is it in? I've heard rumours about one rescue place and I was wondering if it was the same as in this video?

Vile, disgusting money grabbing fecks!
I hate what they've done and so happy that so many more people are getting to know about this.
Bastards need to be strung up!

I can't see the vid because it will crash my puter! Can someone put the facebook link up please and give me the gist of the video?

The video shows lots of appallingly thin horses and ponies trying to graze on bare soil and mud. There are photos claiming to be the animals when the rescue place got them showing reasonably healthy-looking beasts, and after a few months of their "care" there are photos showing them emaciated.

I don't understand why we live in a day and age where anyone with a backyard can get some animals and call themselves a rescue. When people are taking donations they should have to be made accountable to a public body.

Search for 'local rescue south wales - the truth' on facebook, join, and then seak out the pictures link. That will show you what you need to see..

Thanks, I just wanted someone to confirm what I thought it referred to, cannot believe the place is still open as it seems to have been getting constantly 'outed' for months!

God that is so terrible I would love more than anything in the world to start a Charity rescuing and helping animals and these bast***s treat beautiful ponies like that under the pretense of "rescuing" sorry it just makes me so so so angry!!!

I've been following this from the start on FB, they are leaving the place they have been renting and I think most of 'rescue' ponies have been rehomed now, but the bit that grates on people is there privately owned horses are in quite good conditon, it appears that money going into there for the rescues has been used to feed there own horses, you have to read all through the FB page to get the whole story.

There's no doubting the photographic evidence. However, I'd be cautious of trusting a Facebook page/group as a source of "the truth". Fb is full of personal vendettas and half-truths.

Is there any better source of information about this appalling place? Is it in fact still running?

I can tell you for a fact that, having lived locally, I personally know a large number of the people who have been active on this, at least one has adopted one of the ponies, and they are highly unlikely to fabricate anything, they'd gain nothing by doing so. They are people who call a spade a spade, but find out the real facts before they jump in at the deep end, and as a lot of them live very close by they will have been up there and seen the lay of the land for themselves.

So yes, I may be thousands of miles away now, but I would trust reports and comments by several of those on there - they aren't the ones wittering about TV or whatever either.

Thanks. As I said, the pics were pretty convincing, but you never know with fb groups.

apparently they have horses out on LONE and an EXMORE . [see their horse pages] you just couldnt make it up. Also a person standing on a saddle on a chestnuts back. Oh,the entertainment!

They ask for an adoption fee of £300 as well, they have gone and actually bought ponies from Brecon sale that were in good conditio.....few months later well you can see the pics on there, the RSPCA and WHW have been in there the WHW have taken some of the ponies off them, they are due to leave the place soon, but everyone is worried they will start up somewhere else, there methods of handling unhandled ponies is questionable as well.
