On the up

Love the optimism! There have been a couple of moments this week when the sun has made an appearance and it almost feels like Spring is on the way... and then it starts raining again.
I still have a horse on rehab so living vicariously through others by booking my dad and friends into XC schooling & clinics!

Was driving, freezing rain this morning so doesn't feel near the end, but the forecast is saying lovely things for the weekend!

We've been on a clinic where I didn't fall off and we jumped everything asked. Going SJ tonight hopefully, and my lovely YO is prepping my event calendar for me I think :p, so maybe I'll be cautiously optimistic...

When I was walking the dog in the dark this morning I noticed the Daff shoots for the first time, and felt quite positive that we are finally on the turn. It was 7.25, still dark, and 1.5 degrees though so still feels like there is a bit of a way to go yet..!

I've been off work sick for over a week and went in today to try and catch up on some now overdue inspections, which involve walking around hilly bogs and losing your wellies, but I was beaten back by the weather. I've decided that if I get pneumonia then the inspections will be even more overdue, so I may as well have a cup of tea indoors

exulting a lovely sunny january day is usually shortly followed by a visit from the beast from the east, or some such freezing blast

I've had mine and Katie's event timetable on the wall since the dates were released!! But I can almost, almost start entering. Aston Le Walls entries open soon.:p:D Just can't wait.

Hacked out today with the sun on my back for the first time in what feels like forever. Horse was enjoying himself too (rather too much at times ?) but we came back feeling happy and relaxed. It’s amazing what a little bit of vitamin D can do ?

Last week there was a lovely sunrise on my drive to work and I felt the glimmer of hope. Of course it has been grey, wet and dark since but that one day made all the difference
