I have noticed more than usual recently how weak the left side of my body is. My left leg moves a lot more than my right in trot, and I find most horses harder to ride well on the left rein. My horse is also very weak on the left and needs to build strength - so we are not a great combination!

I will begin doing more work on the ground to help the horse, but does anyone have any specific exercises to help build strength on my left side and become more even. I do go to the gym and do yoga, so anything along these lines would be great.

Thanks in advance!

Yes agree. it may not be that you are weak per se but that the right muscles need switching on. Andy Thomas is a magician at this kind of thing and definitely worth trying to get booked onto one of his clinics. He gives exercises that can be done in the tackroom before riding which carry over what you learnt and felt in the clinic to everyday riding.

Go to a chiropractor. I went to physio, weight lifting, other stuff bla bla bla but until I went to a chiropractor none of that mattered.

Thank you everyone, I will have a look at Andy Thomas! And I have been thinking of seeing a chiropractor for a while so that's given me the push. Thanks
