ooh excited now - this should make the sods slow down! high viz

Yeh, i like that one, I've got a cost hi viz coat, i like mine cos it's waterproof but a softer material than some that are a bit rigid and the vents open up at the back and will go over the back of the saddle if it pees down.

Isn't it a shame we have to actual say 'please pass wide and slow'

I do like one that says please pass wide and slow personally, anything that makes a driver think hmm am i going slow enough is something at least, but yes any, there all high viz, as long as your seen and its something that keeps you warm and dry.

I only wish more people would invest in high viz gear, hopefully this post will trigger more people in buying some.

i have florescent boots, jackets and vests for hacking!

No excuse then if anything happens, a driver cant turn around and say "didnt see you!"

How could they not when i look like blackpool illuminations! lol

When I'm hacking (I don't at the moment because it's not covered by the RS insurance, but if all goes well with Scooby I should be soon!

) I'm going to buy one that says "Please pass wide and slow" so idiot drivers don't have the excuse of ignorance! And I'll get Scooby a luminous tail bangade or boots too. I'm so excited, I love hacking!

The most important thing is to have a Hi-Viz jacket with long sleeves so that other road users can see your hand signals from a distance.

And leg bands on the horse because the constant movement is more noticeable than a static rider.

I bought one of those last month from OneStopCopShop LOL.

Plan to use it in the winter on my scooter, going up to the yard and back

It's absolutely brilliant BTW. Highly recommend them.

I like the look of the first one.

How breathable is the fabric? I can't stand anything where my arms end up feeling clammy.

Has anyone any idea where I can get a reflective/hi viz schooling whip please?

QR, the police one would be a good idea...I have a full length police-esq one and it at least fools the children if not drivers from a distance! I've heard cries of 'Mummy, look at the police horse' when out on a 13.2hh Fell pony!!!
