There are days when you wished you'd stayed in bed, and today was one of them.
These last few days the young lad has been increasingly nappy and for what reason I just dont know.
He went out for 5 hours this morning, and came in just after 12 to be smarten up. He also went on the walker for a further 30 minutes before loading time.
Well he didnt disappointed and was a complete arse to load... even with his travelling friend for company.
Eventually decided to go with a rope up his bum.
On route, now late.... arrive and park next to Sillymare
Off load and hop on, damn thing decides it doesnt want to leave the lorry park and spends most of its time walking backwards on two legs arghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
I hope off and lead him up to the start, where i get strange looks and asks of *are you okay?*
So i hop on again at the warm up and Sarah comes over and we trot off together. Sarah was brilliant i cantered snoop around and she would drop back so i could canter on again on our own.
Pop over the 3 fences as easy as pie.
So ask the steward that because hes turned into a devil pony any chance she could just call me and i can just canter through the start and go lol
They said yes
and that i could go in 3 minutes! great!!
So trot him round, keeping him moving is the only way with him atm. So i trot around the start he calls me through and off we go heading towards the tiny tyres which he flies in fine style. Bounding down the hill i completely lost concentration and was flying down forgetting i need to start pulling up to try and get him over the smallest log on the planet, not only small in height but small in width two.
Anyway, totally losing my balance ponio decides that fence judge, mum, grampy and other spectators are scary and just does a hop and dive to the side (about 20 foot away from the ruddy fence) dopy here slides off ARGHHHH
About 4 attempts later to try and get this lard arse back on board the ruddy horse turns a small circle pops the fence and carries on - hes hanging badly to home all the way to the 3rd, but once notices the fence he locks on and jumps the bank to roll top fine. Bounding on to the 4 the double all okay, but naps and hangs again to the 5th with a small drop and up over a bank - he flies this but nearly misses the exit off
On then along the bottom field a quick change wiht the whip and he jumps the next fine, but again decides he has to have the last word and has a nap and stands up bloody thing - a quick slap and he continues and then completely changes personality.
It then flies the next two fences wiht the drop down to the water, bold as brass through the water and bounds up the hill to the step up one stride to barrels, he bounced this
Over the flower box to another bank and onto the bounce steps - now hes running for home like a grand national winner - blooming thing still full of running neighs all the way to the last so i gave him a kick and it accelerates once again.
Home clear, minus rider taking a detour....
Loads 2nd time going home, and back on the walker once home for 20 minutes, it trots round.
Looks as fresh as a daisy and very pleased with himself.
So there you go
pony was fab....when it has a fence in front of it, rider needs to concentrate more.
