Well would y'believe it! Dizzy likes jumping Dizzy does.... :D :D :D :D :D

Friend jumped her last Thursday - apparently Dizz was snorting and boucing like what you see showjumpers on telly doing (Yikes! on the grounds that I'm not one of those showjumper-that-you-see-on-telly-riders :rolleyes:). At one point it was a six foot leap for Dizz, with Friend six feet above the saddle lol.

I jumped Dizz today. First few times, chilled and fine, then she 'got the hang of it'. Hm :rolleyes::D. Had to put it away just to get a canter that didn't involve being tanked off jump-ward lol :eek::D:D

I think m'instructor is wondering if we're going to survive camp.... :D:cool::D

After everything you two have been through, it really does make me happy to see posts like this :D

Glad you are both having fun (Dizzy more so by the sounds of it ;) ) Think we need some photos of you jumping her. Unless i have missed it whilst i've been on hols? x

Holidays! Did you bring back rock??? :D

ROFL - it was so small it was really kind of Dizz to take off at all :D. She starts jumping at three feet, whereas I'm more your three inches kinda gal :D :D :D

My style is that of: coming into fence, think "Knees in!!", quickly followed by "Grab mane!!", quickly followed by instructor yelling "Sit up!!"

:D :D :D

Today we did the equivalent of the top of those wee poles with a straight bar - I tell you, it's no long before we'll be doing the Puissance....

*:D :D :D MrsM rolls on floor laughing so hard she can't breathe :D :D :D*

No rock, but i do have some mozzie bites if you want to share?

Yay for photos! You both look really good, and that jump looks a decent size to me. I'm your three inches kinda gal too :p Only my style is 'push on, grab mane, close eyes, don't fall off (usually), breathe again'.

You both look great, keep the updates and photos coming! And big pats for Dizz for being a clever girl. Oscar agrees that jumping is very exciting and requires snorting dragon impressions. Also, the poles may bite so must be given at least an extra mile of clearance to avoid this. Maybe from a standstill. :D

Thankies thankies thankies :D :D :D

All I've got to do now is try and convince her that trot, and indeed canter, are universally considered to be both forward movements, and that there really is no need for this up and down bouncing and tying all her legs in a knot action.

Wish me luck...

:D

All luck wished ......but I was under the impression that the "up and down bouncing and tying all their legs in a knot action" was the Warmblood equivalent of the Icelandic Pony Tolt?

Its a joy isn't it mine can actually dig himself a trench!

LOL - Mrs M I just love how you describe yours and the Dizzy ones escapades!!

Its great to hear about your progress together and all luck is wished for cross country!!!

I think you should be proud of her skills in knot tying with her legs and market it as a new form of dressage!

T xx

Bless her, she's trying to show you how much fun it is! You'll be fine next weekend. I find xc much easier because you don't have to be as neat and you've got much longer to ride at it. Lil understands jumping big solid fences that she can hooley at them, I'll collect her a couple of strides out and then she jumps them really nicely! Where are you going next Sun?

Ta, you've all made me gigle :D. Very good for this time of day :D :D :D Thank you :D

Ah, the Dutchblood Trolt! Of course! :D :D :D

Ta, all luck will be needed! :D Cantered on a hack last week and steering was interesting, add the snorting/leg-tying-in-knots/bouncing thing and gawd knows where we'll end up!

BS-ing. Hm. *falls off bed laughing* :D :D :D

No idea where I'm going. Oops. No doubt someone will point me in the right direction... :D :D :D. The weekend after we're going to somewhere with a big outdoor school and a full set of showjumps... :D :D :D. Will have to ask D2 to video it all lol :D

Well done Dizz, but it sounds like her and Ru are chatting. Ru takes me into the jumps too, preferably at warp speed too. Last lesson we were working on taking the fun out of it all, we had to walk into them and knock them down.

it is nice she has the "ye hah", but now she needs to figure when to use it.

as for camp.... sound fun, am expecting full repror

And more thankies y'all :D

Apparently warp factor five is The Only speed to go into a jump lol

Am very chuffed. Due to going away tomorrow I didn't have time to ride today :(. D1 came back from Devon, so picked her up from the station and went off to see the neds. She and I trolled off to the field to say Hello. Little Cob came when he saw D1, and Dizzy actually walked up to me, even though she had been stood with her current best mate (New Lad) :D. Made me all warm and smiley that did :D. We had a cuddle, she had an ear rub, and then we left them in the evening sun :). Bliss :D.
