Just wondered what options h&h forum users think about for my horse. He is a 16.2hh rising 7 talented boy- breeding includes Jumbo/just Zulu. I have competed him at be100 level last yr and doing well and did well at byeh classes as 4&5yo. Amazing floaty paces and massive scopey jump. Could go a long way. However, he recently injured his front pastern, has been on rest for 6 months but given all clear for full return to competition following x-ray and u/s today (very unlikley to re-injure due to position). However, I am now 5 months pregnant and won't be planning to ride again until the winter timen(with more limited time). Keeping him in the field feels like a waste, I would consider a professional rider but not sure of cost and options, plus he needs to be brought back gradually first..... Or do I wait and do it myself, when I'm not really sure I will have so much time, but keen to get back to competitions again but maybe not to the level he is capable of. Any suggestions - just trying to think up some options to consider.
