Very very proud of my boy today!
We've done little hacks on our own before and he's been very good but have never braved a long hack. He used to be very very spooky on hacks and try to p*** off home at any opportunity!
We hacked as much as we could in company which he loved and then I had someone walking out with me on foot slowly increasing the distance between us. It got to the point where he was totally calm hacking in company and was good on the shorter hacks so today I bit the bullet!
He was such a good boy! We had a small disagreement at the place where we normally turn to come home if doing a short hack (note to self - don't always turn in the same place!) but he was foot perfect after that! We grew a few hands past the scary sheep and had a look at the big GSD that was coming towards us but didn't even bat an eyelid at the big noisy tractor!
I know it's probably nothing to most people but a year ago this wouldn't have been remotely possible!
Will try and upload the photo I took of him talking to the Shetlands we met on the way round.
Very proud mummy here!
