Fished out my hunter wellies and unfortunately can't get them on. Good alternatives please that are a bit more generous round the calves.

Thanks

Muck boots. very very warm indeed and not too pricey.

Same as brandy! Muck boots are ace! Not so pretty, but the most comfortable things ever, warm and mine are lasting brilliantly. In fact I have just bought a pair of the riding ones and am sat here in my sitting room in them - love them!

thought you meant your horses lol!!! was about to suggest to post in hunting forum instead.

think all this snow has affected my brain..........

haha so did I...well I don't need wider wellies, just much longer ones i'm fed up of wading through snowdrifts and getting a welly full of snow:(

I've got huntress wellies, identical to Hunters but a little more generous around the calf. the only snag is that they are about an inch shorter than the standard hunter which is quite odd.

I have the riding muck boots, I resisted buying them for several years as Festiveneighs says, they aren't the most attractive boot but they ARE warm.

I use Joules ankle wellies - they have a special name but cannot remember - anyway - quick to pull on, fleecy lined, funky colours and waterproof.

muck boots are amazing, just some ppl dont like the look. Best wellies are le chameau, although pricey. A good cheaper wellie alternative is Ariat wellies, they are fab. I used to buy hunters but now they're rubbish, always leak and cheaply made
