I've been meaning to do this for weeks but needed the football avoidance tactics to kick in ;)

Here is a little compilation of Bill's moments - pretty much all pilot error but they're funny to look back on! (needless to say I've learnt a lot!). Despite all this he really is a super horse and I just love him to bits (...those may not have been my words during some of the moments).

You might want to turn the sound off unless you want to listen to my OH saying, "urgh, not again" or "ooo almost" or "Bill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" (yes I do believe you can hear exclamation marks).

:D :D :D

Hahaha brilliant!! I particularly loved the last bit in the dressage arena!!! He's so much like mine! Very frustrating for you as he jumps no problem the second time.

Oh my, he really is a little tinker at times isn't he? Some of those did make me laugh.

You are incredibly patient with him (and have some brilliant super glue on your breeches ;)), I have to admit that some of those antics would have resulted in 'small discussion' if he was mine :o

Oh thank you for posting this, it's really made me chuckle :-D
I especially like the bits where he is 'livening' up the dressage test.
His little face is a picture...it's just got mischief written all over it :D

That cheered me up from the football being on here!

He's so norty and you could deffo hear the exclamation marks!!! Loved the dressage arena bit!!

I think you should do a Bill being good compilation too!!!

What a cheeky monkey! The big spooks remind me of my mare, they can be very trying can't they? Some of the stops look so nonchalant, like he is playing for laughs

& actually to be fair to poor Bill in one of those dressage clips the stoopid judge/writer did shut her car door...which must've been very terrifying

Trying...what a great word! Sums him up perfectly ;) And yes I fear I may have let him get away with a bit much last year... I am a bit tougher and wiser this year...(which seems to mean I fall off more  )

Glad it cheered you up! I'm afraid I could do a soppy "Bill being good" compilation that would go on for hours...and hours...and hours... :D

He has such a cheeky expression. I just love his ears as he's trying to go through the water (which you can't see). I can see him going, "ooo...ooo..ooo...are you sure...oooooooooooo it's wet"

Well I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt  I don't actually think he always deserved it  However, until I felt like I was riding him properly I didn't want to enter into too many discussions lest I be blaming him for my faults! Plus he's got a monster buck in him if I tell him off - it's only a matter of time before I go sailing merrily through the air from it...

Hmmmm hehe he does have a sense of humour! Even during dressage. He even won that last test...!

That's exactly what I thought!

And it was the judge winding his window down that set him off the first time in the dressage clip! It's not the first time he's run a mile from an electric window...

Well sat! Love the way you keep your cool too. Thanks for that - so much better than the football!

Ah thank you. He's too cute to get angry with (though I did once have to get off before I lost my temper, and walk him round until I'd calmed down enough to get back on!

Oh I'm sorry but I couldn't stop laughing through that video! Bill is such a cheeky lad, and your OH's commentary was ace! :D

Good :) It makes me laugh every time!

Would have shot it by now if it was mine!!!!!!
You did very well to stay put

Ah, he does have redeeming features, honest! He's got the cutest expression Ive ever seen and you can't stay annoyed with him for long.

Glad it cheered you up! I'm afraid I could do a soppy "Bill being good" compilation that would go on for hours...and hours...and hours... :D

Well I am pretty sure there is ALOT more hours of football occurring in the next week or so... some more hours more Bill videos would be great!!

Loved it - the dressage reminded me of my old boy!!! :D

Glad Bill isn't the only one to be a bit of a wally!!!!

haha no, seriously, I'd bore you to death! Though maybe I could do a very short compilation just to demonstrate some of his redeeming features :D

It's a crying shame that my funniest/scariest moment ever wasn't caught on camera. It was on the same day as the MK session that's got quite a few clips on that outtakes video but I'd gone off to finish the 90cm course out of sight of my OH and instructor. I knew Bill wasn't actually noticing the last fence as he was busy gawping at another horse, but I blithely trusted him to get over it anyway...WRONG! As he slammed he brakes on, I slid up his neck to his head and as he turned and trotted for home, I had my left foot still in stirrup but my knees either side of his cheeks, my left rein in my left hand...and his right ear in my right hand. I have to confess I started squealing!! Tugging on his ear eventually returned us to stationary mode which allowed me to return myself to the saddle. IF ONLY that was on camera.

Small?! I would have had some epic discussions with some of that naughtiness! Well sat OP, I don't know how you do it, having had a naughty horse that cost just as much as my now willing beast I know which I'd choose! :)

Brilliant! And you have the patience of a saint. Particularly liked the commentator who said " and we have x and x starting" then Bill stopped and commentator said "almost"!

Ha ha naughty pony! :D I watched it twice it was so entertaining - the dressage antics remind me of mine as he does very similar spooks and then bogs off!

Bill is fab!! What a monster he is!! I bet he has an irritatingly cute face after it all though !
I hope you win the Bill battle in the end though ;)
Q

he's got to be part pony! fab vid though :D

Yes I think he's ID x pony ;) (his half brothers and sisters are all ponies by the looks of it; I think he must have been stood in a growbag or something).

Well I thought I was buying a jumping machine :p How wrong was I! Turns out just because he's a jumping machine for a pro, he certainly isn't for me!! I have faith that we'll get there in the end and if not we'll do dressage as he can already play at piaffe and pirouttes :o

Bill is my hero! what a dude!! :)

:D

I loved the dressage bit at the end :)

Dressage is never dull...

Haha I just had to listen to that again - made me howl with laughter!!

Oh how they like to challenge us hey? You have my sympathy

Lol, he does have a cute face as an enormous redeeming feature though ;)

I think pros have supercharged super strength thighs!!

That did make me laugh at the end with the dressage. I like the way you kept calm through out. I hope you and Bill are sorting yourselves out good luck.

Bill is hilarious, I was laughing so much at those dressage bits. I have a horrible feeling my Coco is a bit like Bill. Cannot believe you stayed on some of those I think I would have fallen off & then just tried to sneak off home without him. Mind you he's the sort who knows which is his box.
