Sorry I managed to press post early. Meant to say /full pony diary! Horse has done the following over the last few weeks and has the following planned. Week 5 being this weekend just gone.
Week 1- 80cm ODE
Week 2-Week off no work (I was on holiday)
Week 3- no comps normal work
Week 4- BE80
Week 5- 2 day riding club camp
Week 6- BE90
Week 7- Week off no work (holiday)
Week 8- Week off no work (holiday)
Week 9- no comps normal work
Week 10- 12 mile fun ride
Week 11- 90cm Blenheim eventers challenge
Week 12- BE90
Week 13- 2 day riding holiday in Devon (hacking)
We've been asked to do the eventers challenge for riding club but it wasn't something I had planned as ideally wanted to give him a week off from any outings, wondering if I am asking too much to have a solid four weeks of doing something every weekend, even if it is varied? I really want to do the fun ride as he loves them and it will be nice for him to do something low key so if I need to scratch something it will be Blenheim.
After the riding holiday he would just be doing a couple of BE's until the end of the season (probably two more between then and end of oct) and then life will be at a much slower pace for winter. I am careful with ground and fully prepared to not run if its not suitable, he is very fit and well but I don't want to be one of those people who over competes/rags their horse!!! At home he pretty much just hacks as we don't have a useable school. Boxes out for the odd bit of fast work.
Pony to make post less boring!
