Overzealous teens?

See, funny how we assume sometimes.....we had a young girl (15) at the yard (she is still there) and she drove everyone nuts, she shared a mare there, no money involved just the lady needed a hand a few nights a week and in return the girl could ride one day of weekend....anyway added everyone on yard to her FB, had pics of HER BOY, made comments of "off to see my baby" and basically drove the owner nuts....and irritated many other people with being generally hyper / typical teenager......

THEN the snow hit......and this kid, send messages on FB regularly, hayed fields, broke ice in troughs, mucked out, turned in and out as needed (when possible) fed etc as needed by all the other liveries (including myself) when we couldnt get down there and didnt ask for a penny in exchange.....proved to be very competant and mature and sensible....when i originally avoided her and thought she was a pain in the a**

It could be worse- when I was 15 and bought Oshk (I had 2 other horses at the time) I was so excited I slept in his stable for 5nights... at least you don't have a 15year old camping in your field ;)

I never realised how upset people would get over semantics. I've got a horse on trial hopefully to have on full loan. I had loads of people asking on fb how my new boy is - they all know he is on loan and most of them know his owner, hope she isn't upset by them refering to him as my boy.

ps I'm not a teen by a long way...
