Hiya, brought my horse in from the field tonight and he was quite cresty and wouldn't let you touch his neck... flinched even if you just stroked his neck and seemed in discomfort (dull eyes, just not himself)
he does tend to get a bit itchy so usually loves nothing better than for you to scratch his mane.
his feet are cold and no laminitic stance. couldn't really feel if his crest was solid as wouldn't let me close enough.
would do carrot stretches so not thinking neck injury (??)
he's recently been moved to new paddock with lots of grass so really worried it is laminitis.
what could it be? a wasp/bee sting and allergic reaction has been suggested as well but surely that would only be one area and swollen?
has anybody else heard of a painful crest? HELP!
