Hi
Had the saddler out today to check my boy, have only got a close contact jumping saddle at the moment and was not really happy a) with riding in it every day b) was not convinced it was fitting that well now he has a bit more muscle and put some weight on. (previous post re bucking - flying changes)
Not too bad news was that the jumping saddle was ok, but the saddler agreed that it probably was not that good to be using every day and flat schooling in it.
Anyway... found a saddle from his selection that fitted well... seemed to be comfy enough... I say seemed to be as I have not ridding in a dressage saddle for almost a year now and I know it takes me a while to get back into it.
It is a Passier Corona..... and it is *cough* 1900 (about 1620 GBP) *coughs again.. saying it was bad.. writing it is not much better*
I know to some of you it is maybe what you expect to pay for a new saddle.. but it is about 14 years since I bought my last new leather one (the jumping saddle I have was new, but is a CC Wintec pro)
... I can do a deal where I pay him part of it and then so much a month for the next 12 months (interest free)... told him I would get back to him tomorrow as need to see if I can do that financially...
So... want to know if anyone has one.. what they think of it.. I know it is a personal thing, but might help if I can see if anyone has any strong opinions either way.
