I’m not sure what that means ??‍♀️

lol sorry I just read that back. It didn’t make sense, I was comparing it to when I had two people on my yard at home who had diy grass livery and didn’t come to see their horses and because I couldn’t see the poor lads go without I ended up looking after their basic needs and not getting any more in livery for it as they weren’t willing to pay because they couldn’t see the problem but they left after I started sending bills to them in writing. Xx

I bet there will be lots of people who don't know any better turn up for the £15 ride. Much cheaper than paying a riding school. YO needs to step in. You don't want lots of random people turning up at the yard having a good look round.

It is illegal. I was offered a share by a woman who did this. I walked away and in any case she didnt want me when I began to ask questions. She is still around locally and appears to be on good terms with everyone but me.
But yes I do pay and have paid to share and to hack a horse. I love hacking (it is why I learned to ride) and cant afford to keep a horse in London so sharing is perfect for me.

I viewed a horse once that I thought was for a share arrangement. However, when I got there their were several people all going out on trial hacks around the property.

Wasn't really sure what was going.

Anyway, I tried the horse. Only after did she admit that she was looking for several riders for all her horses, each paying ten quid a ride. This, she said, was because she couldn't ride due to the horse I tried breaking her back! Though she reassured me that I'd probably be fine as I was a nice quiet rider.

I got out of there pretty darn quick, and I think my Dad reported them to the Council for running an unlicensed and uninsured riding school.
