pedigree makes dog thirsty

I don't think Pedigree is a great quality food - I would have a look at the ingredients and see how much salt and other additives are in there.

I would then look at swapping to a better quality food or a raw diet. I feed Skinners Field and Trial, and have fed Arden Grange in the past, both are good quality. Lots of people on here advocate raw feeding, personally I don't have the time, freezer or inclination to do so but it might suit you.

Don't know about pedigree but Bakers definately did water consumption has gone down from six bowls of water a day:eek: to one now on a raw diet. And alot less pee. I surpose it could be dry food as a whole like eating crackers :D

Agree with above - pedigree isn't a great quality food, and is quite rich in poor quality protein so you may find anal gland problems too. Might be a good idea to change gradually to a different food i.e. purina, hills, JWB etc.

I agree it's pretty rubbish food. I initially fed it when I first got my dog 3 yrs ago because I didn't know any better but quickly changed onto a better dry food (James Welbeloved) once I'd done some investigating! and am currently in the process of changing onto the raw diet.
